Citizens committed to ensure public education
is a reflection of the local community which creates, funds, and supports its existence. We see the best outcomes of public education coming from the partnership of parent, child, and teacher. The goal is bottom up, locally controlled education supporting the
I support Wendy Hart for our Alpine School District Board Member. Over the years I have come to know that she supports the conservative values that I believe in. trust that she will always be the advocate of the parents and will make sure that she does all she can to ensure that our children receive the best and most appropriate education possible.
Wendy Hart has my full support for re-election to the Alpine School Board. I am very impressed with the level of effort she has made to communicate with her constituents and solicit input throughout her term. Any who are interested in the issues facing the school board can simply go to her blog and find them. Her posts provide detailed descriptions of the important issues from a neutral point of view. She then presents her position on the issue and the rational behind it. While we don't always agree she is always willing to listen to my point of view. If you want someone to represent you who is respectful of other points of views, listens, is transparent, takes positions based on principle not pressure and is focused ensuring that the youth of our community have the absolute best education opportunities then like me you will vote for Wendy Hart.
Wendy educates herself well on every subject. She understands every aspect of a subject before she draws a conclusion or makes a decision. Then she informs her constituents in detailed blogs and e-mails. I have NEVER known any elected representative to come anywhere near her in keeping the people, to whom she is responsible, informed. She maintains absolute transparency.
Things I love about Wendy:
1. Frequent emails with details discussing the issues that come before the School Board.
2. Honest evaluations of those issues and the courage to express unpopular opinions.
3. Thorough research into controversial and complex topics.
4. Real concern for the education and well-being of all the children in Alpine School District.
5. Rigorously defends parental and local control of education.
Wendy Hart has truly been an advocate for the children and parents in Alpine School District. She sends frequent emails detailing the issues which come before the school board, and she has been quick to respond to any of my questions. Wendy is especially good at giving thorough and honest evaluations of the difficult issues that come before the school board. She has the courage to express unpopular opinions, and she has a real concern for the education and well-being of the all the children in Alpine School District. Wendy supports local control of education and defends my right as a parent to control my child’s education. And Wendy is a genuinely sincere, nice person. There is no one better to serve as our representative on the Alpine School Board.
Why do we elect people to serve on a school board? Is it to provide public oversight, or to be a rubber stamp for a school district? Obviously it’s the former. Wendy Hart is perhaps the best school board member the public has ever had serve on Alpine school district’s board. She’s extremely well versed in the laws and governing structure of the education system, she’s completely transparent and blogs regularly about issues within the district as well as broader education issues like Common Core and SAGE tests, she’s an excellent advocate for parental rights, and she votes based on principle and not just what the district wants her to vote. I wholeheartedly endorse Wendy for school board!
Wendy Hart is a serious student of the Constitution and the principles of liberty and freedom. More important, she is fearless in defending these principles. Administrative tradition is opposed if it impinges on agency. She champions the rights and responsibility of all parents to be intimately engaged in their children's education. These characteristics make her the ideal person to represent us on the ASD School Board.
I would vote for Wendy again because she's been true to her campaign promise of creating more transparency between ASD and her customers--very refreshing.
I know Wendy to be a woman of integrity with a servant heart. She has performed her responsibility as an elected school board member seriously, thoughtfully and diligently. I've observed her performance at school board meetings where she has been prepared to deliberate the business of the school board, always with the good of the children and their parents uppermost in her mind. She is polite and gracious, working respectfully with the board. She is smart and supremely qualified and should be reelected in my opinion.
Wendy Hart is the only candidate that has proven her willingness and ability to represent our community on the Alpine School Board. She is committed to keeping education local, supporting parental involvement in developing education policy, strict fiscal responsibility and keeping her constituents informed better than any school board member I have ever known. It is without reservation that I endorse Wendy Hart's candidacy for ASD board because she is willing to do the research to cast an informed vote and not just be a rubber stamp. Her service on the ASD Board the last 4 years has been exemplary and she is one of the most knowledgeable and prepared school board members I have ever known, always casting a vote that can be supported by principle
At a time in our history when federal mandates are robbing parents of our right to direct our children's educations, it is critical that we elect local board members who understand how to advocate for local control. Wendy understands and consistently stands (in many cases alone) on the principle that parents, with the help of teachers, know best how to meet the needs of our children. She also understands that her role as a Board member is to represent her constituents, not to rubber stamp District policies that, in far too many cases, are federal policies created to dismantle local decision making. I value her "big picture" thinking and wholeheartedly endorse Wendy Hart for Alpine School Board!
