YOU ARE THE SOLUTION

The success of public education depends on you. The system operates best when issues are openly debated, public will becomes policy via elected officials, results are observed, evaluated, and changes made as needed. Without you, bureaucracy fills the void and begins to exclude the very people who created the system to begin with. Here is a simple plan to put education back in the hands of local parents, teachers, and taxpayers:

Join a group of citizens who share the responsibility of attending school board meetings and report back to the group. An informed citizenry is critical. An observed government is equally important.

Citizens committed to ensure public education
is a reflection of the local community which creates, funds, and supports its existence. We see the best outcomes of public education coming from the partnership of parent, child, and teacher. The goal is bottom up, locally controlled education supporting the

parent-child-teacher relationship.

Become a member of the Alpine Parent Society. Attend 1 or 2 school board meetings every year and write up an overview for the other members. Public officials think differently when the public is right there watching them.  They deserve our support when they do right and they need our push-back when they drift off the principles they claimed when they ran for office.
